The pictures above reflect the activities of trips from the last few years.  Many of the locations and friends we've made will be revisited, and new friendships will be forged.

Thanks for checking out our Blog!!

The 2009 SMAA Honduras Mission Team is anxiously anticipating their mission of friendship, peace and love.

Please click on "learn more about us" under the About tab at the top right of this page to learn more about our trip and to view more pictures and a few videos, like this one from last year:

We hope you will log on often and experience this spiritually charged week with us in Tela, Honduras, and several nearby rural villages on the Caribbean Coast.

Click on the "comments" button to ask questions about life in Honduras or to offer feedback for the team.  We will attempt to speak with local residents answer the questions and respond each day.

You can click on the google satellite map to the right and take take an aerial look at where we will be.  You can locate Tela, and we will reference the various communities we visit as we post the daily blogs.

This is a trip where friendships are made, rewarding labor is performed and doors are opened to a more fulfilling spiritual life.

In all we do, the goal is to share God's love as equal partners sharing life in his world.

In order to accomplish all of the projects the team has planned for the mission, the work first starts at home, as a large amount of supplies have to be packed and transported to Honduras.

Over the years the team has developed a well organized process for shipping the health-care supplies, including donated reading glasses, musical instruments for youth at the church, prayer shawls, and the supplies needed to build two jungle gyms and swing sets.
